Dynamics 365 Business Central: The importance of using a prefix or a suffix

When it comes to writing AL code for Dynamics 365, it’s a best practice to ensure that the name of each new application object in your extension contains a prefix or suffix. For optimal results, each control/field/action/group of Table Extension or Page Extension, must also be defined with a prefix or a suffix.

Business Central: How to figure out the types of licenses, users and product names

As one of the largest cloud on Azure providers, we often get questions from our partners and customers, such as:

  • Can the same license for NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central be used?
  • Are Business Central and NAV two different products or the same?
  • Is it possible to migrate from NAV to Business Central?

To answer these questions and provide more guidance, we decided to write this brief yet comprehensive blog post.

My five best cost reductions to eliminate upgrade stupidity

A couple of years ago, I released a blog (see here) on getting the tactics to upgrading right. Back then I focused on 4 tactics, but with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central release, those tactics are changing and there are more options for partners and customers to consider. Will it become easier? Not for the next upgrade, unfortunately, but once you are on Dynamics 365 Business Central, the costs of upgrading will start declining. I will prove that to you if you get to the 4th cost reduction (or put my money where my mouth is).

We’ve been keeping it under wraps, but the time has finally come. We’ve changed our logo. You may wonder – why change our logo now?

It’s no secret that a logo change can be a very lengthy process. But we felt the time has come and we wanted it to better represent who and what we are as a company. After all, as an innovative and experienced IT technology brand we wanted to stay up-to-date.
