NAV 2009 What's New Technical
COURSE OVERVIEW
Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009: What's new technical training introduces participants to the new features of an application and technology as well as development areas and examines how the Microsoft Dynamics RoleTailored Client is structured. The course presents development techniques, upgrade (transformation) concept and methodology.
The training is organized as a two-day workshop and covers both functional overview and development specific areas of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009:
- The functional overview section aims at helping the student understand the new functional and technical features available within Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 and ensures that the student has obtained big picture understanding before progressing to the development specific section.
- The development specific section covers key RTC components: Pages, RDLC Reports and Role Centers. It goes into details about the technical aspects and with a number of practical development cases to solve involves into learning through practice experiences.
COURSE GOALS
To understand:
- What's new in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 application and technology
- Role Tailored Client, Standard roles, and new objects: Page and RDLC Report.
- Why and how to design with an upgrade in mind
- Transformation to RTC process
To learn:
- Transform Forms to RTC Pages
- Transform Reports (list) to RDLC Report
- Design and develop RTC Page
- Design and develop RTC Matrix Page
- Extend RTC Page with new functionality (ad-ins)
- Design and develop RDLC Report
- Include graphical elements to RDLC Report
- Design and development Role center
COURSE RESULTS:
- You will have an understanding on new application and technological features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 CC and RTC.
- You will gain knowledge on scoping and performing development tasks for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 RTC.
